Colorful Conflict

Colorful Conflict

When in a conflict situation we often have two choices, stand up and fight, or do what it takes to avoid a fight. Sometimes fight or flight choices are appropriate, but there is a third option, build bridges, also known as Constructive Conflict.  Together, all the options offer us an array of choices, known as Colorful Conflict.

Lessons Learned - I'll never do that again!

Life is full of lessons, particularly things we should not do again.  If we are not careful, we build so many rules that there is nothing we can do.  It is like stacking the filters on  top of one another so no light comes through.  The colors shown in this image demonstrate the subtractive colors, each taking away some of the light, until there is nothing left to see.

  Nelson's 3-Filters

We all see through rose colored glasses, or through glasses of a different color. While people share the same basic needs, were are different in how we express them, as if we were seeing life through different filters.

Don't put people in boxes.

We often display personalities that are different when working as compared to more private, personal time with family and friends.  Personal needs and behavior are complex, but there are predictable patterns depending on the situation.
